fishmanjj
I've caught several hundred tripletail over the years....and this is probably the smallest ever. Strangely, we caught three today and all three were under 12" long. All released to grow up and fight another day.
conocean
Man would that be tasty! Those critters grow fast.
HewesYourDaddy
I still can't figure out how to find those guys. I actually thought about spending the afternoon looking for them yesterday, but the Ft. McAllister poker run was going on. There was too much traffic and the water was churned up. JEM
Did you try the trout on topwater in the Medway?
telltail
Man, ya guys are spoiled up there! Down south here when running the buoys looking for them it seems all ya can find are the 12-14 7/8'ers. Its' s really cool when ya come across the real small guys drifting (mostly on the flats). They look just like a small leaf! Tight lines

Several good strikes at first light. 1 hook up with a shorty. A guy in an ActionCraft pulled up about 75yrds from me and caught one nice one. I was anchored, so I decided to move and let him work it with his trolling motor. Went to Kilkenny and picked up some shrimp. Weighed in 4 trout for an aggregate weight of almost 10lbs. One fish was 4lbs
