dcollins
Good Morning, I was hoping to see what kind of props you are turning on any HPXT? I have a Turbo 13 1/4 - 14 pitch 4 blade, what I've been told is an FX4 comparable as the model # on my prop doesn't exist anymore. Motor is Yamaha 70 4 stroke I have had a new prop on order since October 16, but have been told Turbo is not producing props at the moment for whatever reason. Current prop WOT RPM 6200-6300 with top speed 35-36.
dcollins
Just an update, ordered a PowerTech SCD 4 blade 14 pitch. Should have it within next week or so. Will follow up with the results.
BeachBum
I'm curious which Power Tech Prop you ordered, and how well it performed for you?
dcollins
It was the SCD 4 Blade 14 pitch. Performance was good. Able to get RPM to 62-6300 and speeds around 34-36 mph WOT. Had to stay on the tabs more when turning since the prop lifted the stern up and it would slide. Boat is now for sale @ Fort Myers Marine if you want to buy it!! polliwog
I am curious about the WOT MPHs, I have a 15 hpx MIRAGE with a 40 hp and get 30mph on the GPS at WOT. I would think you would be 0ver well 40 with your 70hp WOT. Are you loaded up with people or gear? Good luck with the sale,I love my 15fter. dcollins
Typically had one other person and light gear. Always ran with full tank of fuel also. My buddy has the 15 HPX and was able to keep up if we ran together. The 15 is a V Hull and the tunnels loose speed because of the design. That’s why. Boats still for sale if anyone is interested.
