im with you on this one, i have had a yamaha and i love it but decided to repower with a zuke because they have been very reliable and it was cheaper on top of the fact a yamaha i may have had to wait 6-12 more months....

Zuke's have been workhorses around the world and can never be a "bad choice" 

However there're opinions and experiences that could affect "your choice". 

If It was me repowering, I would also change all the controls and wiring and if money is not an issue, you can't go wrong with either choice.

Depends more on what you want the boat for and if the 10 HP would make a difference for what you want it for.

That's my thought not an "expert" opinion 😊
