Tails Up Posted September 16, 2021 Report Share Posted September 16, 2021 We are just 56 days away from the 33rd Annual Pinellas County Banquet and Auction for Coastal Conservation Association Florida (CCA Florida). This year’s event is scheduled for Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the Gulfport Casino in Gulfport, FL. For those who may not be familiar with CCA, we are a non-profit organization comprised of 19 coastal state organizations spanning the Pacific Northwest, the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic seaboard. The state of Florida consists of 40 local chapters from Pensacola to the Keys. CCA’s unmatched breadth and depth of volunteer involvement has made it the largest marine conservation group of its kind. Money raised from this event help CCA Florida fund critical habitat restorations projects, artificial reefs, and restocking efforts for both redfish and trout throughout the state. As we saw this year, the Tampa Bay area is definitely in need of these efforts. We are blessed with some of the top fishing, boating, paddling and outdoor activities in the state, but it takes support from people like you, getting involved, to protect our local waters. If you haven’t been to one of these events in the past, this is a great casual, networking opportunity for people who enjoy being on the water in the Tampa Bay area. This is also a great opportunity for businesses to support an organization that fights daily to protect our area waters on which we all depend for local recreation as well as the all-important tourism that a healthy marine ecosystem promotes. Silent auctions to include rod & reels, lures, hand tied saltwater flies, saltwater fishing charters, home décor, jewelry, travel getaways throughout the state, airline tickets Live auctions to include trips around the country and to exotic locations like Costa Rica and Africa, half day charter with Captain Mike Anderson of Reel Animals fishing Open bar from 6 to 8 pm followed by a steak dinner.
