cbondy
Having problems with water intrusion from my deck drains when heavily loaded (4 big guys fishing, huddled around the primary live well/fish box under the leaning post). Aren't there check valves that are intended to prevent this? I have tried flushing out the drains with water and gas yard blower, but problem continues. I also get a blubbidy-blub sound from both sides when drifting or anchored. Please help.
HoneyB
My 2012 2200 TRS did had the same issue. There was no check or flipper in the line. My boat was more of a wet floor one side if everyone was on one side netting a fish. I bought some hose and crossed my drains to the opposite side of the boat. I hate the floor drains in my boat. They are one and a half inch drains but the tops of the drain with a screw in the middle does not drain as well as it could. Gemlux makes a duckbill-scupper to fit inside the through hull but they seemed to slow down the ability to get water off the deck when washing the boat. HoneyB
I am very close to ordering the drains with balls in them and altering the floor to accept them. If I keep the boat past The end of July i will probably modify the drains.
