ski behind redfisher 18

I removed the original eyes and put on larger eyes with extension blocks and backing plates for lifting.  What was there originally was trailering eyes.  There was a back plate, but it was nothing I would’ve put force on.

The boat is great to ski behind!

I've always been leery of attaching the rope to poling platform because the loads are huge and I'm not sure about backing plates.

Instead I use this bridle and pulley system attached to the D rings and they work great:

Have fun!

Cheers,

Bud

My Hewes 20ft LT platform isn't thru bolted, just lag screws.  Found out when on side started to leak through the screw holes.  I believe the d rings are through bolted and I have used them for wake boarding for the grand children, no issues

USE THE RINGS....

Safety

Must have a rear spotter for the skier

NEVER NEVER NEVER have the engine running, even in neutral when the skier is near the boat...e.g. stop at a distance, let them swim in to the boat...or when they are behind...let them drift far enough there is no danger........turn off the engine when they are in anywhere near the stern or on the side of the boat....

just like at the dock...SOMEONE CAN SLIP AND THE FIRST THING THE GRAB IS THE BINACLE AND THROW IT IN REVERSE OR FORWARD AND YOU HAVE A MASSIVE INJURY.

I had the kids use big tubes and ski from behind my RF and Pathfinder.
