Desperado213
Well I was working on fixing up my motorguide great white 82lb TM and realized the motor is shot so now I'm in the market for a new TM. Looking into getting a 80lb Minn Kota Terrova. Wanted to see what size shafts people are running on their 18 redfisher. My motorguide was about 47" shaft so I was thinking a 54 minn kota but maybe even a 60. I don't want something super long hanging across the bow. Also does anyone know if the shaft length is the actual length of the shaft or the usable length? I see the fin shaped (antenna?) Item on the terrova shaft which takes up a good bit of the shafts adjustability. I wasn't sure if the 54 shaft really only had 48" of adjustment if that makes sense. GlennF
Rhodan GPS 24V I can’t remember if I went 54” or 60”. Simple easy to use remote and crazy good anchor mode. It will do some cool things like move your boat over left or right at 5’ intervals if you want to fish along a bridge and keep the same distance away from the bridge or you can set it so you move along the mangrove edge fishing for snappers. 3 blade prop vs 2 for better holding power. https://www.rhodanmarine.com/product/hd-gps-anchor-trolling-motor-24v/ sorry the pics all ran together
Desperado213
I've heard good thing about Rhodan and it's close to the price of the Minn Kota but Rhodan is out of stock of the model I would get so I think I'm going to go Minn Kota, plus there's a lot of service centers around me. From what I've been reading, the rhodan and iPilot have the same features.
Desperado213
Glenn, did you get a chance to measure the shaft length on your rhodan? The pictures look like a 54 but not sure. I appreciate the help.
