John B
Hello all, I am working on a 'new to me' 2001 Redfisher 16. In the bilge area I discovered a small, 1/8" approx. ID, vinyl hose. It may have been clear at one point, but is now basically black with crud discoloration. Anyway - it ran forward toward the console but when I pulled it back toward the transom it came freely and is not connected to anything. The other end wraps around the rear of the live well and then goes past the point where I can reach. Any idea what this is / was for ? There is no aerator head in the live well, other than the black fill fitting that was installed originally. Thanks, JB

Thanks, JB Dont see any pics, but do you have the fold up seat that is flush with the back deck when folded down? If so might be a drain line from the two drain tubes
John B
Hmm - yes I do have the fold up seat. I'll check that out and try to load a couple of pics of this thing. Thanks !
wthree3
May be for the speedo. Water pressure from the foot of the lower unit drives the speedometer.
John B
Yep - I thought about this being an old speedo pickup ....... but why would it circle around behind the livewell ? Maybe it just got stuffed back there over the years ? Seems to be secured though ...... that end does not move with a firm tug.
Shallowminded6
What did you figure out? Reread your post, 1/8” is small for the drain lines of the seat. I think mine are around 1/2”.
John B
It's been too cold and rainy here to work on it ......... hopefully this weekend weather will be more cooperative. Will post a follow up and a pic or two.
