dotschaser
Hpx owners, looking for info on mounting a couple of jl audio speakers in the front deck bulkhead wall. Gas tank in the way of mounting depth? Has anyone mounted speakers here? Thinking probably of using 6.5’s. I’d have to move a charger if I mounted speakers in side of console. Here is a pic of my deck. Thks for input
skoons
Don’t think you’ll be able to mount speakers due to the fuel tank. All speakers I’ve seen mounted are in aft bulkhead. By the way, nice cup holders welded to rod holders. Cool idea!!
Uncle Rico
I just spent an afternoon running an additional wire for a Hummingbird I-Pilot link system. I had one HELL of a time getting a wire through there. The tank was super tight up against the bulkhead. I run and HPX-s - not sure if that makes a difference. You MIGHT have room at the extreme ends to squeeze a speaker in there on each end of the bulkead, but you better be very careful with your measurements. My advice - bring and I phone and buy a super kick butt blue tooth speaker. I use a Bose Revolver and it sounds absolutely insane.
Zeusoftexas
I put a Wetsounds bar under my poling platform. All Bluetooth, no head unit to deal with either.

Can you post a picture of this and how did you connect it, require drilling ? Thinking of doing the same.
Zeusoftexas
Drilled a hole in the leg of the platform and another hole in the deck under the foot of the platform. Removed the platform to accomplish this. It’s on a Redfisher 18.
