lookinforsnook
Anyone have an opinion on the water quality in PI sound. Heading down next week and heard rumor that there have been m***ive water releases lately from Lake O bringing with it dirty water. If true has there been any effect on the bite? SCFD rtrd.
Don't know much about PIS, but with the heavy rains expected this week (Wed & Thurs) most every body of water will be effected by the fresh water run-off. I fish Englewood, Placida and Boca Grande which are not effected by Lake-O, but they will still be dark stained by the heavy rains. I never had a problem catching fish in this water, but you just can't see as well as usual.

lookinforsnook
I was hoping it wasn't true but I guess we'll have to deal with it. I guess until we elect politicians that can't be bought by Big Sugar this will be our status quo. Too bad, it's such a beautiful area when the water is clean.
