Popular Post Wanaflatsfish
Capt DonH and i decided to hit Chokoloskee before the cold front.....and I have to tell you, the BITE was ON !! We lost count at 35 or so...cookie cutter 15"'rs and a few in the 15-20" range that went home for Dinner. The bite was on from 0800 to 1115 and then, it was over....we caught all our feeeeeeesssshhh including a nice red within 11 miles from Chokoloskee...... The bite was on gulps and DOA white shrimp....literally every cast..... We moved to the front of an island near the gulf and were Chunking fresh lady fish and caught our biggest trout....... We should have called it a day at 1130, but, thought we'd head to the back...but, the wind had picked up and blew all the water out of the back and it was like chocolate.... Called it a day at 145 pm and at the docks by 215pm and on the way home at 230pm. Great day with a wonderful fishing partner. Pic of the red - yes COTO on a popping cork with shrimp (LOL)....4 lb 8 oz by the certified BOCA GRip of the Capt DonH. You can see one of the trout on the deck who flipped out from under the "blanket of calm" (Conocean saying LOL) - the white towel which I use to let them rest before entering the YBOD - Yeti Bag of Death
SeaSerpent123
Nice reds and it sounds like the bite is still on. Wonder if it's still the same after this last cold front.
