That would have been so much fun a million years ago when I was a young man . It was pretty amazing. I wish I was about half my current age - I would probably have enjoyed it more! 1

FINCHASER
Last 5 trips highlight pics. Had an epic chew on the 18th... landed 5 with 2 slots and left them biting 1st pic managed a trip offshore during the calm spell, some small phins and tons of small trips on debris really cool to see. Tried a snapper spot after dark and got a stud mango and big snook pushing 40" in 45ft! Went out last night knowing the hurricane would have them chewing, decided to forgo live bait and just threw a plug... 1st 2 casts result in a 38" and 27".... Trolling motor was struggling to stay on anchor already and when a squall got close it umped to 20-30knot. Wind was pushing so hard it really pushed the tide and motor just couldnt do it anymore (last pic)

HenrysCreek
Took advantage of some calm seas and ventured offshore today (west of Marco) with a friend. Back at the dock by 11am. Came across this RIB on the way out. Called to USCG and sent them pictures after getting back into cell range. IMG_1782.mov

whichwaysup Posted yesterday at 01:16 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 01:16 PM Decided to test the boat out after the theft and recovery to see if there was any other kind of damage I couldnt see to the hull or components of the boat. The only serious damage besides to the trailer was that they destroyed my homemade cheese grater. I removed it before testing the boat and didnt think anything of it. Launched before first light and fished a dock light near the ramp. Within 30 min, the automatic bilge pump kicks on and runs for long enough to make me nervous. It kicked off and we decided to keep going and see what would happen. We got skunked in one spot after another, and every 30 min or so, the bilge kicked on. NOT GOOD. Hit one last spot, my heart sick at the idea of a hull breach somewhere that I had missed. Last spot was pure magic though. Buddy caught a nice 24 inch red on a popping cork combo, followed be me getting its twin on topwater, then he was on again with #3, and I matched him with another topwater fish. Worked the school out and moved further down the bank, where I found #5 on top as well. A good ending, but feared it would be the last trip for a long time if the damage was serious. Got home and inspected the hull again. Absolutely no damage of any significance. Finally realized what a bonehead I am. I took the cheese grater off but didnt replace the screws or seal the screw holes. Going to test her again in the am with the holes sealed and make sure thats all it was. Looks like they will probably total my truck, so if anyone has a lead on a cherry, low mileage pre-2016 F150 supercrew, let me know.

TOTALLY SUX With the price of a new truck over $50k, you won't recover the differences....sorry for your loss dc
whichwaysup
13k wont go too far in this market. Sad thing is that I have no interest in a new truck. Just want my old one fixed. I take care of my stuff, dont want someone elses problems. Ah well. Onward and upward.
smilemaker
Can you buy your old truck back and do anything with it. Insurance companies will often pay you the money and you can then buy your truck back for $1,000. You will get a junk title that does not mean much until you sell it later.
