Slick calm 50 miles out and the water was warmer than the air temp at 8 am. The virgin trip , with the Vanford 1000 J braid , and St Croix Rods was a complete success!!!!!!!!!!! Got up in the bights , on the skinny and smacked 20 upper slot Reds in short order . These rods are vastly superior to the Star Rod . Ended up with 25 Reds and a dozen snook , before the water was too low , and barely made it out . Headed back for Jimmy’s 5 year party . Have to support the people who help is make it happen..
