SCFD rtrd.
Ha, that's funny. When I first read the second sentence, I thought you were referring to a bird or water fowl that I wasn't familiar with. Good thing Bubba's on the ball.
Popular Post whichwaysup
She is a very special 7 year old. Begged me to take her fishing, I warned her that summer mornings start early. She was dead to the world when I walked in to wake her up just before 5 but she jumped up, got dressed and found her way i to the truck, helping me load the boat along the way. She was a little sleepy on the boat but was completely self sufficient, casting well and stayed interested all morning. We landed one, had a bigger one come unbuttoned, and missed two other blow ups, all on topwaters. Caught an amazing memory as well.
Popular Post greenbone
This year it was just Andy and I , Alex decided stay in Arkansas for football practice . Bite was slow , I blame it on minimal water movement. Andy got one good hit, and he fought it like a pro. A 29” red , couple pics and released to fight another day. This was not his PB , he released a 33” last year. BTW, Andy’s grandmother Gina Parks is a local artist in Carrabelle and gave me this picture of my king

Popular Post whichwaysup
Took my 2nd oldest son out yesterday for what we planned to be a quick a.m. trip, but the fish had other plans for us. We just kept picking at then, and every time we considered calling it a day, we found another one. So it went until about 1:00 and we ended up with 7 reds (17”, 5 20”, 1 25”) 3 striper, and one flounder. Mostly it was nice to spend a day with my son, poking fun at each other and just enjoying each others company. Finished the day with an at-home date with my wife, grilling lamb chops on the grill while the kids took care of themselves. Not a bad way to live!

One of those relaxing, no-pressure-to-put-guests-on-fish kind of mornings. Got up super early but found someone on my spot when I got there. Didnt care, went to another spot and had 4 stripers over the gunnel before 6 am. An hour later, got a yellow tagged one. An hour after that, had a nice keeper red, two really nice flounder (18 and 20”) and then a 6 striper. Back home by 10:30. One of those unexpectedly amazingly relaxing, enjoyable trips Very nice Gus. Nice to have those by yourself days!!!

HenrysCreek
Got out to begin exploring the waters around Goodland and Marco yesterday. Bite was slow, but managed a small snook and some nice mangrove snapper.
