THE OUTLAW
So along with the shortage of Gulps and Jigheads , as previously discussed . I went to Bass Pro yesterday , to buy a new Rod , and holy smokes . Not one single pole . Did not go over to the more expensive ( made in USA ) poles . But zero poles . Good thing I have about 15 others . Sad ! 🇺🇸🏴☠️ And of course . The picture is crooked . 🙄

FINCHASER
While Im sure availability has been impeded a bit, I think alot of places are purposely not trying to restock like they did before all this mess preferring to sell down on what they have

smooth move
driving down the seawall in Galveston last week and counted over 30 ships anchored offshore waiting for dockage. i quit counting at 30, there were more. i'm sure most are from China with containers on board. wonder if it's the Cova or the storms that have em backed up? johnd
My wife would disagree.. something about too many fishing poles (in my office, on the back porch, on the boat, in the garage).
Chief5130
As Norm Schwarzkopf said; “I’ve managed to convince my wife that somewhere in the Bible it says, ‘Man cannot have too many shotguns and fishing poles.’”

East Coast Dave
Dropped off a Star rod for warranty coverage at my local bait and tackle probably in March or April. They said due to COVID they are waiting for them to ship. Go just down the road to Daytona Beach Shores and they have tons of inventory. I went ahead used as an excuse to buy a couple more rods. It’s crazy. The Star rep use to switch them out within a week or two “back in the old days”. Can’t wait for things to get back to normal. HewesYourDaddy
I had a similar experience at the local BassPro last week. I've been looking for an 8' Falcon Coastal XG SS-8M. Decided to check the inventory on the BP website for my local store. Sure enough, 1 in stock. I jump in the truck and head on over after work and I see mostly bare rod racks and 3 Falcon rods that look pretty short - all 6'6". I asked if there were any additional in the back since store inventory showed what I wanted was in stock. Nope. "This is all we have". I got a little irritated, but I was told I could order online and have shipped at no charge to me. So that's what I did. Ordered Wednesday evening for delivery Friday.
polliwog
I should open a tackle shop and put my inventory up for sale. I have 3 lifetimes of rods. I've been a hoarder for 35yrs and mine are the USA made rods.. lol
Guest DavidG
Speaking of Rods, can anyone give history of this old rod. I was given a pair of these still in their cloth bag some 30 years ago by a old fishing buddy who has since passed a long time ago. I even called Mitchell who had no idea. His story was he brought them back from Germany following WWII. Both have never or will ever be used as I miss my old fishing buddy. The 2 pieces slide into each other and has a brass nut that keeps them together. Any info would be appreciated.....David
GlennF
The lack of new rods/reels has me cleaning up and respooling the older stuff so not all bad
MuddyBottomBluz
Went to Bass Pro in Miami for a cast iron skillet over the weekend and noticed that the rods were extremely thin, some rows completely gone. and the others 3/4's of the way depleted.
