gnarlydog
Hey guys -- I have a 2000 Bonefisher 16 and currently have my TM wiring setup for a 12v system with the one battery under the console. I'm in the market for a new TM and am considering going to a 24v system. For those of you with similar setups, how did you mount both batteries in your front hatch? Did you install a shelf? Both batteries won't fit under my console. I'd like the added power, but I'd need to figure out an easy/secure way to mount them up front. Attitudeindicator
I have mine setup with a shelf in the front hatch. Just keep in mind that two lead acid batteries up front with the fuel tank made a big change in ride due to all the weight shifting forward. I plan on upgrading to a single 24v lithium battery to get rid of 80-90lbs of weight up front.
polliwog
I hate ask this ,but what does the 24volt Lithium battery cost and what does it weigh. I may do the same thing with my 20ft LT. THANKS

gnarlydog
Yeah I was debating the lithium option as well but that's a lot of $$$. Think I'll just stick with my existing 12v setup. Gets the job done the majority of the time.
HoneyB
I removed the little shelf in the console. I have two batteries and a battery charger under the console. I also still have one battery in the stern box for cranking.

Yeah I agree but Dakota has an 11 year warranty on theirs with double the operating amps . if I can shed 90lbs in the process it would run a lot better in a following sea. I wish I could have my batteries under the console but I don’t have the front seat on mine
