SCtiger2019
I have a 2004 Pathfinder 2200v and the back corner livewell does not drain all the way. It has to be a design flaw for this model boat but as you can see in the picture below the drain is about 1/4" below the bottom and the well and won't drain all the way. I like to use this for my fish box but not being able to drain it really creates a problem when cleaning. Does anyone here have a solution? I was thinking I could just drill a hole to drain into the hull and plug it when I wanted to use it for a livewell.
Miss Jazzy
That compartment was not originally designed for a live well. A lot of people do add them as mine was done(‘02) I don’t use mine as a live well but it did get water in it from washing and it will not drain all the way. It is a terrible design. I now use that box to house my wash down pump and hose and Gulp! containers.
Bamaskeet
When I’m heading offshore, I often use that live well as a fish box. And yes it doesn’t drain well unless you have a steep driveway. When I rinse the box, I use a plastic cup to bail the water out. It only takes a few minutes and I leave the lid open to dry it out.
SCFD rtrd.
I can't see any good solution other than what Bamaskeet recommended. Even if you put the drain in the bottom corner, you will still have a drain issue because of the lip on the thru-hull fitting.
