fin-addict
Do not know brand. Mechanic told him that unit cannot be rebuilt. New unit needed. Thanks
fin-addict
It’s a sea star HC5370-71. Was informed the side mount rams no longer available. Wonder if a bay star with a smaller footprint would work. 115 Yamaha

Did you replace the whole unit including helm or just the ram. The U-Flex, side or center mount ram. Part number. Are you going to make me work finding this out, LOL. Thanks much Wanna. 😀⚓️🙏 fin
Toeknee217
I have only ever used Seastar on my boats but the Uflex ones have a good reputation. I just finished installing a standard Seastar on mine because I have a 200hp and the baystar has a hp limit. . Id recommend the smaller baystar kit that comes with helm hoses etc. Especially if you don't have a jackplate. I kept my original helm and hoses because they were still in good shape. Might be a good idea to give Boat Steering Solutions a call to double check if your current system can be refurbed.
