Scud
I noticed today that my throttle is stiff when throttling forward and a little stiff in reverse. I disconnected the cables from the motor, and it seems very smooth, so I greased the linkages in the engine, but the issue is still there. I'm wondering what could be causing it to be so tight, especially in the first 1/2 of the forward throttle. I did have a jack plate installed, but I don't think that has anything to do with the problem. It's a 2004 Hewes Redfisher 16' with a 2004 Yamaha 115 4-stroke. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Scud
Yes, or maybe I just noticed it right after the jack plate install. I'm pretty sure its not the controls or the cables.
