Highway 41 Coming Alive!

Recommended Posts

Took a drive from Dade into Collier to see what was happening and do some fishing. Very dry dry fish are stacked up in the canals. Caught some nice bass 3-5 pounds, some snooklets along 29 just before the light at 41. Nighttime snooking along the trail is going to be ramping up now and next month. Caught a lot of fish and probably no COVID19 out there either. I was looking for alligators but did not see any!

It was literally a game. I was using the good ol'e Rapala original floater and every time I would twitch it they would all come over ones you didn't even know were there, let alone when you caught a bass and it started jumping, very sporting! Good news is I did not lose a fish to the gators nor hook a gator. There are probably 6-7 more you don't see in the shadows and under the bridge and to the right. The big one was directly under me at the bridge.
