This entry works the same as the SW tournament right? Includes captains meeting dinner and award dinner? Tickets and all that good stuff?

I hope so. I am planning on winning the power pole this time. Just a heads up to everyone. B|

1. Does anyone have information about the current water condition near Flamingo;  is there still a grass die-off problem?   2. How about the water in the rest of Florida Bay, Islamorada, etc.?   Thanks.  Ray

Ray, I fished yesterday.  The situation near Flamingo is dire.  We've lost over 50,000 acres of grass flats.  Water was muddied up from the rains, made sight fishing very challenging.  Fishing the past several weeks has not been good at all.  I ran east yesterday all the way to Calusa Key and fished many of the keys in that area.  The water is pristine, as usual (there was an incoming tide) and the grass seems healthy.  Fishing was just "ok", but there were storms in the area, and I'm sure the barometric pressure had an effect.  Fishing up towards Shark River and areas to the north has been good.  I'll miss seeing you and Becky this year.  Have a safe trip and a great time!

DAVE, thanks for the report. Hope the Flamingo area clears up some. Will miss seeing you and hope you return next year.  Ray

TO ALL -- Just talked with Breezy Palms today, Sunday 9/11. They have 2 poolside one bedroom apartments that opened up, 1 ground floor and 1 upstairs. Zero boat slips.

If someone wants these they need to act quickly because Breezy may, at some point, have to open these up to the general public.
