Kingfisher67
Hey folks, after my wife and I got back from Exuma I fell in love with my guides lappy. I've always wanted one and right now not interested in selling our 23HPS. I recently found this one and thought someone on here might be familiar with her. Thanks in advance! https://www.boattrader.com/listing/2008-hewes-16-lappy-103627879/?refSource=standard listing&refSource=standard listing
SSN651
NIce boat but I think the last lappy was around 2001 - 2002 time period. Chuck 😀

Chuck 😀 Yes, appears to be not correct on the year....I owned a 2003 and it was smooth sided.... If interested, call and ask the owner to send a picture of the Boat VIN on the stern.... dc
Limitless
Those guys are right and it probably is an older model. That said, she looks to be in very good shape and if that 2 stroke 90 checks out you'll love that match up. Like Dino said the VIN plate should give you the year, if not the title. Kingfisher67
Thanks the quick replies back everyone. Yeah I noticed the year was off and if I remember correctly, Hewes stopped using wood in 89. I'm going to get the VIN as suggested. Thanks again. hurricane
Im gonna guess thats a 1998, not 2008. Could be a 2008 trailer..... Still a nice looking boat and the price should come down with a year correction.
geeviam
Sometimes a boat owner will think it's ok to change or re-date the year of the boat if a complete restore or repair is done. I would want to see the title as well, to make sure it's not a salvage title. If it is actually original gelcoat from 199x, that is a very well kept rig - a beautiful, classic lappy!
