Joshpucci Posted March 26, 2019 Report Share Posted March 26, 2019 Hi Guys Have a Hewes LT 20 with a vmax 150 yammy LTZ model 2 stroke Currently the motor is spinning a 14x21three blade stilleto i get 5500 rpm but the props a little old and missing some meat. i want a new prop chasing top end speed what would you recommend? reckon for memory its maxing out now at 48mph reckon it should be going faster Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
polliwog Posted April 12, 2019 Report Share Posted April 12, 2019 I had the same set up 20ft LT with a Vmax 150.with a factory prop. I would turn about the same rpms and top end. I doubt there is much more than 50mph are going to come out of the 150 power plant. My boat did have bottom paint ,so I lose something from that,but the motor was in top shape. I owned it for almost 18 yrs, replaced motor with a Yamaha 4 stroke 150 2 yrs ago. that has about the same overall performance,speed and runs 6000rpm at WOT..
