Hewestunnel Posted August 25, 2014 Report Share Posted August 25, 2014 Just got my New to me 1995 fighting lady Yellow Hewes 19 tunnel drive. Bought the Hull and Trailer minus the motor, and towed her home from SC this weekend. Just purchased a brand new DF 140 Suzuki for her and hope to have the motor hung and ready by next week to test props. This is my 6th Hewes flats boats including 2 bonefishers I refitted and sold and 3 redfishers i have owned over the years , but my first Tunnel drive. The previous owner had done some recent hull paint work and hung a huge/heavy 150 VMAX SHo on her , but didnt like the set up after it was finished so he bought a new larger hull and moved the motor off this boat. I plan to Jazz her up with some slick LED lighting in and outside the hull , new wiring, paint the topside , bow mount trolling motor, SeaDek faux teak floor, and some new electronics incuding a fancy charging system from tony @ BOATTRONICS : She should be done and ready to roll in a month or less : Cant Wait !
