My boat was stolen in 2010. I had replacement value coverage, and it saved my skin ! The cheaper online insurance Co.s may or may not have good service after a claim. I have to say that Allstate was superb and the local surveyor that they contracted kept in close touch during the claim. In short, buy the best coverage you can. Replacement value plan will keep you whole as the MSRP goes up in next couple years. Finally, understand the coverage for damage while running, geographic coverages for the Islands,and towing rider..
