G8rfisher
I just picked up a 1994 Redfisher 18. I am considering moving the trolling batteries to the front compartment and possibly the engine battery to the center console. I would like to gain room in console for VHF and head unit as well as built in tackle box. All thoughts are welcomed.
squidmotion
i have the same console, and i have all three under the console, two type 31s for the troller, and a 24 for the house battery... in a custom propylene battery box. works fine, but you aren't putting anything else in the console, other than the on-board charger, and a fire extinguisher. plenty of folks put the troller batteries up there by the fuel tank, but i just couldn't bring myself to go that route. by the way, welcome to the club! mulligan
I had a 97. I was able to get 3 batteries, charger, vhf, and radio with speakers, all in the console. Even had a shelf to put small items. It was tight but not cramped.
johnd
I have my 2 TM batteries in the bow. Built a little shelf just in front of fuel tank. Still room for anchor, tool box and PFDs.
