nhinshoreangler
The housing is cracked on my original Rule 700 livewell pump. What do you recommend for a replacement pump? Thanks!!

nhinshoreangler
This is the original pump housing. The inlet has a 3/4" NPT female thread. I am having a tough time locating a new pump that is compact, horizontal mount and uses a 3/4" NPT inlet thread.
nhinshoreangler
This is the whole system. The left side threads into the ball valve. I removed the cartridge from the pump housing (right side).
captpn
Why not just replace everything after the strainer with a 3/4" rule 800? Looks like the strainer is female, and you have a adapter in between...maybe just remove that, and screw in the new stuff... good luck.
HarleyG8r
I did this dance not too long ago, see link below. Best part of the new style Rule pumps is that if you have a failure, you can easily pop the motor out and put a new one in. While on vacation in the Keys, I replaced one in about 30 seconds, saved a day of fishing.
nhinshoreangler
Thanks to all. The housing was cracked so I was not able to replace the cartridge. I was able to replace the pump with the Rule 403FC, "seacock model." Seacock models are not as readily available in box stores. I also replaced the Shurflo strainer as that was cracked also. I moved the pump over to the right to make it easier to get from the splashwell access. Works great.
