rubble
Buddy of mine just picked up a 24 for a song. Didnt know much about it other than very clean, low hours and custom made. Anyone know much about these boats? How do they compare to Pathfinder and others?
heweymagoos
If I'm not mistaken they bought the lake and bay molds. Tom Gordon is the owner. Suppose to be top tier boats from what I hear.
mulligan
From what I gather it is the Lake and Bay 24, but you probably knew that. I have been for a ride in one and it rode very well! This is a MBG forum so I will not say how it handled compared to the PF in ride but will say it was one of the best riding 24ers I have been on. I did not crawl around so I can not say anything about the build quality.
rubble
Is it more of an offshore/near shore bay type boat or is it a boat that can go inshore and fish skinnier areas like the Pathfinder 24 and shorter models?
redzone1
Stuart Boatworks now owns them. I would say they compare pretty closely with a Pathy 2400 however they are more expensive and a good bit faster. They will go just as shallow as the Pathfinder and handle chop about the same
rubble
I’ve been trying to get him to pick up a Pathy. He’s gone thru a couple of boats and not been happy. He has been in my older 2000v on several fishing trips. He likes it. I think if he were to get in a 24,25 or 26 Pathy he would go that route. Think he may before it’s over. Will see how this IBw 24 goes. He will use it for all inshore and shiner fishing on the Big O and other C-FL lakes.
