DWoodham
Does anyone put bleach or chlorine in your fresh water wash tank? I’ve heard of folks using a little , but I’ve never done it. Thanks
HoneyB
When using cleaner with bleach cleaning the boat I will put one spray into the fill of the fresh water tank. When I fill it with water I can’t smell any bleach. I have well water. If I was on city water I probally would not worry about adding anything. smilemaker
Don't let city water fool you. More bad stuff there than a good deep well. A cap full of bleach to a full tank should not overpower it. If too strong cut back. Many arrivals on the net.
HoneyB
I was really just going with the fact that on some city water systems I could actually smell clorine. A splash of Clorox could never hurt a tank of water that will be sitting for a while. If your courios about your water, get a glass jar and fill it. Place the cap on it and set it in the sun for a few weeks.
mustang190
Where the water comes from has little bearing. Water sitting in an enclosed space will get mold and algae. Unless your using that water tank every day filling and emptying it the water will become stagnant. Putting a little chlorine bleach will help prevent it.
