fishnfinatic
Has anyone repaired their own lids around the hinges? I have 3 lids that have completely separated. I’m looking to see if I can do it myself.
Bamaskeet
I installed a flat piece of aluminum on the inside lid flange. Bought the aluminum at Lowes. It was a easy job.
nhinshoreangler
They can be repaired, I had a glass shop do mine a few years ago. They have held up great. I chose to not do the work myself, I figured an expert would do a much better job. Best of luck.
silverking
I just had some cosmetic gelcoat cracks and dings repaired on my boat. The fiberglass/gelcoat under my hinges on my anchor hatch were pretty badly cracked and flexing so I had them fix them while they were working on the boat. They re-glassed the area under the hinge both inside and out and then re-gelcoated. Looks brand new.

Dobey1
I had my front center and two front sides on a 2007 2000V do the same thing. With in 50 hrs of New they were cracking. By 100 the sides were broke off completlley. I sent them to PF and had them repaired. It took forever but I never had even a stress crack in another 300hrs after that.
