mikep
Should I be blocking off the fill port in the live well it seems that it is sucking air when using the raw water wash down? 2018 22 trs.
SCFD rtrd.
Give it a try and see if the raw water pump preforms any better. Shutting off the live-well fill port was not an option for me. I always use my washdown after using the cast-net, so shutting off the water to the live-well was a no no. I just drilled another hole in the hull and installed a thru-full fitting with a shut-off to supply the washdown pump.
mikep
When I plugged up the live well fill port it does make the wash down work much better. 5/8 plugs worked perfect. Now I can leave the valve open and it doesn’t fill the live well when I’m running and no more air in the line.
bernieNC
You should not have to plug the live well fills. Everything is open on mine and my washdown has plenty of pressure. Only time I have reduced pressure is if both are running at the same time and even then it is not bad,
BradM
What diameter hose are you guys running? Simple West Marine type set up? I'm about to make my own and was thinking of using 3/8" poly tube just to keep a lot of pressure (not worried about volume for what I do).
