Scout6
Any advice on a spare tire mount for a dual axle Ameritrail? Seen some generic ones for sale but I don't know if they will hold up.

JEM
I bought my Ameratrail trailer with the spare tire carrier already on it. You might check with Ameratrail, and see how much they will sell you one for.
Bamaskeet
I agree with JEM, I have a complete hub assembly, rotor and a spare spindle mounted to my Ameratrail.
General disarray
Pretty sure their OEM is just tie down engineering. At least on the items I called on they were tie down has a nice galvanized one that ubolts to the frame complete with spare hub and spindle for $150. Bamaskeet
If your trailer has brakes, make sure you the rotor/hub spindle package. I've bought two new Ameratrail trailers in the last ten years and ordered a spare tire, rotor/hub and spindle mounted to the trailer on both trailers. Both trailers came with a spare tire, hub and spindle, but not the rotor/hub. Ameratrail sent me the right parts, once I brought it to their attention. Sunstone
I bought an ameratrail in 2012 that came with the hub and spindle on the spare. Bought a 2015 Pathfinder and it only has the spare.
RodWorks
I have the Tie Down bolt on one also. I keep it in the garage with the spare attached and only put it on for long trips.
