DAME TU LONCHE
Question for you guys. I have a lot these days picking up a “new” boat. The boat came with a 2002 VMAX 150. The oil tank in the Rigging compartment is sitting on a rusted out tray. Anyone know if there is a replacement for this, plastic maybe? Or what looking to see what you guys have done. thanks in advance, randy

craSSh
I used a group 27 battery tray. It’s plastic and fits perfect, it even has a strap to hold it down. I got it at Academy for under $10. I drilled some holes in the bottom and on the edges so water can drain out. https://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/t-h-marine-battery-tray-014988729p#repChildCatid=10628
DAME TU LONCHE
So here is what we got to work with....I showed my dad the SS one....and he told me he can fabricate it (he’s a welder by trade). Once he builds it, i will post some pics up added a picture: 16 years of rust
ififish
Change the oil filter and triple check that harness while you have the tank out both are known culprits for issues down the road
RodWorks
l don't know what Yamaha was thinking when they made those oil tank brackets.
