VsteveV
Anyone use that Motormate mount? Seems like the bass guys love it and I'd love to not see the motor leaning anymore. Thoughts?
mulligan
Been using one for a while. Works great, a lot better than the My-wedge IMHO. I did cut mine down some so the motor is not trimmed as high.
Bamaskeet
My fishing buddy has one and it works great. They are a little pricey so I'm hunting for a deal before I replace My Wedge.
gambler1
Used one on my bass boat , and have been using one on my pathfinder for 4 yrs. Great investment keeps the motor secure. If you do get one I suggest the stainless model.
rubble
It isn't really a plug and play for most Yamahas. I think you have to add brackets. I'm looking at picking one up. Was thinking they were all stainless but some are painted?
Flats Man
Maybe someone can help me understand this motormate as I have never had one. It looks like it would do a good job of stabilizing the engine and reducing wear and tear on the pivot pin, linkage and reduce vibration. But it doesn't transfer the weight of the engine to the trailer protecting the transom does it?? I thought that was the reason for a transom saver bracket, to protect the transom? I don't trailer my boat without having the weight of the motor resting on the trailer via the transom saver. I've owned boats my whole life and have never had an issue with a transom because of this.
