fishcast
I have a 2000v without built in locks. Wondering if there’s a way to lock/secure them that someone has figured out? Thanks
FROZEN
Fishcast, I don’t have a 2000v, but I have keyed latches on some of of the lockers of my 2200. I never lock them. I figure if there’s something so valuable in the locker, that I fear it’s loss, then I need to secure said items in the house (lift kept boat). The last thing I want is a thief with a crow bar doing $1000 damage to get to a $50 item in the boat. If they want to get into a locker, they will, with or without locks. Make it easy and empty. You can purchase and install new keyed latches from Gemlux or others if you want.
Bamaskeet
You can buy an exact replacement to your hatch latches that are lockable. The 2200V did come with one lockable latch.
smilemaker
It is an easy swap out for the gemlux lockablele latches. However any body can easily pic the lock. It is good to keep an honest man honest. if you want to secure them overnight on the road you can go to some bass websites. They have a lockable rod that is like a shower curtain rod. You put a plate on each side of the boat and the rod goes from one side to the other close to the hatch so that it can not be opened. t-h marine loc-r-bar is one example.
