flyfishinglife
I'm looking for suggestions. Anybody mount an external transducer on the transom of an HPX S? Very small area between the pocket and the trim tab seems like the only option?

flyfishinglife
So Boomer yours is mounted so its reading water from the pocket and Headhunter, yours is mounted on the small area between the pocket and the trim tab, if I'm seeing those pics correctly. And you both are getting good depth readings? Down to what depth? Thanks!
Boomer
The one shown is one one two. The other is a thur hull. Since I fish in the ICW so I’m not sure the depth limit. If I’m in over 6 ft of water I get nervous.
Headhunter
Depending on the bottom 14-18 inches.
flyfishinglife
I mounted mine same place as you Headhunter. First try lost the depth signal when I planned out but after lowering the transducer I started getting steady readings at all speeds, down to about 1 1/2'. Thanks!
