Fishybeard Posted February 2, 2018 Report Share Posted February 2, 2018 I recently purchased a 1999 2200v and love the boat. However there aren’t any gunnel rod holders. This is the old cap that has the rolled gunnels. Has anyone tried to install gunnel rod holders on the older cap? Looks like it’s going to be tight on space. Wondering if it’s possible. Thanks! Back when they came out some folks managed to do it but it took some CAREFUL measurements and the along the gunnel location really matters. If I remember right there was a certain brand that worked best. I've never done them since I was afraid I'd mess it up and didn't what the holes in the deck Had Maverick keep the old post you'd be able to see and read what was done... but I'm getting on my angry soapbox about that again... There isn't much room for error but can be done I did a how to in here but I think it was on old forum The Gemlux rod holders have a smaller head and fit well.
