BigC
I have drained, closed shutoff valve, and installed plug in livewell drain in attempt to keep livewell dry while not in use. Invariably overtime about 1” of Water will find it’s way in. Boat is wet-slipped. Any suggestions as to how water is finding it’s way in? JEM
My best guess is that the plug may not be sealing well. You might try using one of the drain standpipes to see if it will seal any better.
BigC
Thanks JEM....will try...at first sounds counterintuitive as seems would hold more water in livewell, but if source is the residual water in the drain hose then this could provide a barrier that amount of water can't overcome
BigC
Finally figured out the source........rainwater (or water farm washing boat) is entering from the gutter around the lid....there is a gasket around 3 of 4 sides which doesn’t help but main issue is there is no outlet for water in the gutter to drain to other than eventually draining into livewell itself
