dcathey
I just replaced my old pro series with blades and would like to avoid routing the 4 tubes around steering, etc. Does anyone have any input or pics on the powerpole through hull fittings and would that be suitable for transom installation on a 22 Pathy? I didn’t get a chance to call them before the end of the day. I feel like it would look like a much cleaner install. I see them on bass boat installs but they have different transom

Does it allow the tube to slide a little so when deployed it isn’t stretched? Ever notice if water can get through?
HoneyB
mine go through the hull.. I like the way it looks ..

bigsnook35
I ran mine through the splashwell because i didn't want any more thru hull holes. I ran them through hydraulic bulk head fittings. That way they matched the seastar and jackplate fittings. They are the hydraulic bulk head fittings on either side of the splash well. They worked great to fit both hoses through one fitting.

Bamaskeet
It's easy to run the hydraulic lines through the transom and it looks much cleaner.
F1sh0n
I like the look of through the transom, however I think having a stainless pipe through the transom and properly sealed and expoxied would be they way I would go. That way as the tubing wore, you would not have to go through the hassle of replacing.
RockyG
My new 8' Pro came with black rubber grommets included in the box that make for a super clean installation thru the transom. The hose is held pretty tight so you need to leave the proper slack to accommodate the full up and down range of motion. On the inside I copied the factory look by fabricating a bracket to keep the pump high and dry.
dcathey
Do you have to loop it outside of boat? Is this enough slack to let it move freely?
RockyG
Mmmm......hard to say. The hose routing on the Blade model is different than my Pro model. I would lean over and watch carefully the first time you fully deploy them in the water. Adjust if needed.
dcathey
I thought about taking the spikes off while at shop and see how they deploy.
mulligan
The new tubing maybe different but on mine I had to put slack in the tubing. The pole would still deploy but sometimes had a hard time retracting because it needed more slack. I will take a pic later.
justfish
I have installed 2 and went around the transom both times. They have plastic “sleeves” to allow the right bend and not chafe. I only did it because It was just less holes in boat. Never had an issue.
captpn
I just want to fold over and tuck in that frayed sleeve above...

It’s bugging me too. I’m going to cut the sleeve down so it’s not bunched up, I was just doing a trial run on routing tubing.
NCTribute
I routed mine thru the black plastic strip on the transom, keeps it high with less chance of leaking and did not have to drill thru the gel coat.
mulligan
Mine is on a bracket but this is the slack I had to have.
