Lap it Up
Is this the boat that sold on EBay a month or so ago? If so I bid on it. Appears you got a good buy, I just wasn't willing to shell out that much. Please post some pics of her all dolled up again.
Kdub
Yeah, that's the one! It has cost me more than anticipated to get it back tip top but my Dad reminded me BOAT stand's for Break Out Another Thousand. I will definitely post pics. whichwaysup
Kdub - What's a guy in Raleigh NC doing with a Maverick? Just curious, because I just bought one and live in Roanoke VA. 1987 18.5 and I love her. She heads down to St. Pete w/ me every summer, but the fam has been eyeballing Greenville NC as a potential relo and thought she might be of use down there as well. Kdub
Good question! Flats boats are definitely not as popular as the Carolina skiff but is well-suited to the skinny water all over coastal Carolina. I grew up fishing near Oriental and wanted a boat that could traverse submerged sand bars and whitecaps comfortably. I was interested in b*** boats but never cared for carpeting. I recently had some hull repairs completed and am rewiring the Mav...will post pics when I get a chance.
