Norseman Posted September 1, 2017 Report Share Posted September 1, 2017 Hi from Florida. Purchased a used boat recently and found out it hides rainwater in the bilge. With a heavy 4-stroke motor on the back it is tail-heavy and all water should come back and be sucked out by the automatic bilge pump, but in reality the water stays in the bilge below the battery compartment. Yeasterday I pumped out 20 gallons and sealed the opening on the chain locker hatch: A U-shaped 3" opening to let the chain out, i suspect the water have entered right there over the months or years. Next project is to free the limber holes. IF there is limber holes....? Anybody else with the same problem? Where can I get drawings of the hull and a build description?
