Capt. Troy
Fairly uneventful as far as the eclipse. I have seem it darker with cloud cover. Good tide though and the fish didn't care. Did OK on the small snook on the beaches and saw a few reds swimming with the male snook. This one decided he wanted a green back. Pretty fish coming off that white sand. dabear
I am so glade that we are starting to see reds again . The south shore area of Tampa bay has been full of snook most have been small, but the reds have just picked up the last three weeks or so. Sounds like a fun trip. Capt. Troy
Yep, we saw several reds swimming with the male snook as they were eating all the fry on the beaches. Did see one lone red in the 36 inch class swimming alone. Looked like a little shark coming down the beach.
