Paid Up Posted August 18, 2017 Report Share Posted August 18, 2017 I am having an issue with my Garmin transducer and wondering if anyone has ever had this issue. I have a 2005 Garmin 498 that is an excellent machine. The depth reading started acting up so I bought a new transducer and put it on and still works about 25% time and mostly blinks 0. I turn it off quit a bit to let it reset and sometime works and sometimes does not read. So I put a new wiring harness at the Garmin and it works better but now about 75% of the time and anytime I get in shallow water it blinks 3'. So I borrowed a buddy's 498 and it does the same thing.
