What did you do to your boat today?

I think if you can make these seats work with your hatch layout they are definitely the way to go. And I've heard nothing but good things about the durability of them. And 375 bucks shipped to your door is to me a worthwhile investment

I’ve been piddling with my console a little. I added a kicker sub tube, rearranged batteries, moved all components to a piece of pvc board that I mounted to the inside of the console so my receiver, circuit breakers and amps are all close to each other. This allowed me to lose about 30 screw heads that I’ve started repairing. I also removed rod holders bc they were pointless inside of my tower posts. A little before and after(not sanded and buffed yet)

Added a few things over the week.

1.) Tired of having the rods slip out of the holders on the gunnels....have to always use the strap....so, I crafted some teak pieces of wood to create a ledge.

2.) added an additional jack stand....I spend a lot of time in the skiff fiddling and fixing stuff as well as cleaning..I'm always concerned the shifting and jostling could cause the front jack to collapse....overkill probably, save the hull - for at the price of $100, I feel better..it's a heavy skiff

3.) Added an edson knob...

4.) changed the lower unit oil, changed the fuel filter, checked the plugs (not too bad), wire brushed, checked the gap, replaced...check the engine hoses and sprayed some yamaha protection spray on the parts

5.) ran the skiff in the tub for a few sessions used 1/2 gallon of salt off- she should be clean and ready to run

6.) Cracked the hub bolts.....

7.) sprayed some stainless steel screw black to match the console buttons

Not bad for a 25 year old engine ???  :)

Lower unit oil looked good....replaced it with another clean 24 oz....no shavings..no milkiness....sorry, yes, i only use OEM (LOL).

I found this brush at a place called Sailorman discount....I have a big one for heavy cleaning...but, wanted something small when on the water that fits under the gunnels....this also serves as a "pre" pic of the gunnel ledges....finishing them today.

BradM , it brought my system to life. Taking some of the bass out of the jl 8.8 and 6.5s makes them sound better and much louder. I don’t really have a basis for comparison but it’s perfect for my boat. I didn’t want to cut any holes and this enclosure can be mounted vertically or horizontally. I went vertical and put a trolling motor battery on either side and cranking battery is right behind it sideways. Everything fit but it is extremely tight in there. I’m getting boat rewired this winter so hopefully the mess that’s in there will be gone shortly. I’ll send pics when I’m at the shop

I have a 10, I think they only make a 10 and an 8. I remember getting frustrated when I would turn my old system up while running and not being pleased at max volume. Now I have no complaints and am done adding speakers. The pic is looking down from tackle locker towards from front of console. If speaker was 1/4” bigger I don’t think I could’ve fit it in there. Now I can’t wait for the wiring to be redone at The Skiff Shop.

Well finally a break from the rain. I’ve never had cup holders in the boat and got tired of holding a drink with the hand or between the knee or between the feet. Saw these on another forum members boat and they are perfect. Much better than any of the suction cup ones and the bonus (no holes to drill) I hate putting holes in a boat when I don’t have to. A shout out to Mad Beach Hewes who gave me the company’s name, Cuda Customs.
