They were a very close match. the new hinge did cover the holes that i had to fill. It was a very easy repalcement.

whichwaysup
Word on the street is that the back deck of my MA has been cut and removed. should have pics soon. This is the moment of truth to see if both stringers are delamed or just the one known issue. Either way, this will give us a clear view of the boats interior. When she is back together, she will be perfect - no wondering!

JEM
Had a substitute captain running the boat. We took my wife’s niece and her family to lunch on Daufuskie Island yesterday. The 3 year old wouldn’t give up the wheel once he got behind it. While at the Crab House, one of the local grackles, like a large black bird, flew into a nearby trash can and grabbed a french fry, and flew up on top of an umbrella. I pointed it out to my crew, whereupon my wife pointed at the bird and laughed. The grackle then flew down and lit on my wife’s white hat and then flew off. After leaving a gift. If you look closely, you will see the french fry. True story! 1

Thanks guys, it’s one of those color combinations that you either love or you just don’t and I love the Smurf too and when you see somebody else who loves it you can see it on their whole face right before they tell you it’s a sweet rig and there’s been a few already

Might have a little sellers remorse. I'm glad you're enjoying her and she's being taken care of. I can say this with certainty; that MA rides better than a 211 Sea Hunt Ultra. I ran one last weekend and thought I'd enjoy the bigger platform. I misses the smurf when I came across the first set of wakes.
Lap it Up
Finally got around to covering my swiss cheese console. Acrylic was a lot easier than trying to glass all those holes and match gel coat. Next is a custom short windshield I had made and two SS cup holders.
whichwaysup
Capt. Calf, I dont think the smurf ever looked so good, and Nag kept her in tip top shape. you have taken her to a new level. Lapitup, nice nice work on that console, where dod you get the acrylic?

The shop that made my windshield sold me the piece. I am not entirely sure where he gets it from. Its pretty easy to work with and the finish is much nicer than starboard in my opinion.
SouthernWake
Recently made an acrylic door, ordered the sheet on amazon. Only challenge was drilling holes close to edges, just take your time, start with small pilot holes and open them up. Cut the sheet easily with a cutting wheel on an angle grinder.
