Lift Cradle

Recommended Posts

Someone with a similar boat on a lift could give you a more definitive answer, but here's my two cents:  If you can see where the stringers are located when you open up the bilge access, measure the distance center to center, and that should be the best bunk spacing (center to center).  It would probably be safe to locate the bunks just outside the strakes, just like boat trailer bunks would be.

outside the strakes I would think, same set up as trailer, most installers know where to place them. make sure the bunks extend past the transom to avoid hooking.

I had same question for my 2200TE and the new lift. I guessed based on my trailer setup, and it just bothered me after staring at it for a while. I called Ray at Maverick, and he told me the exact location of the stringers. I was too wide and readjusted. He also cautioned me about to completely support the stern. I had too much hang over the bunks. Fixed that and now have piece of mind.

So, if you haven't yet, call Ray to be sure of proper placement.
