HDS 7 Gen 3 - night mode in the day time question

Hey folks, been meaning to ask this question for awhile now and keep forgetting.

The other day, I started fishing pre-dawn and put my Lowrance HDS unit in night mode (or maybe I just dimmed it way down, can't remember).  Anyway, a few hours later, it's bright out and guess what?  I can't see my screen.   There is no button for adjusting the brightness or turning off night mode, and I can't see the screen to see the menu . . . catch 22.  I turned the unit off, then on, and it stayed in night mode/dim mode.  

There has got to be a manual workaround to get the screen bright again without having to navigate menus you can't see.  Anyone know any tricks?

I have a HDS 12, you hit the power button once and a screen pops up with a number of options including screen brightness.

Throw a dark towel over the screen and your head until you can see to adjust

double tap power button will give full brightness I believe, it does on my elite

Actually tapping the power button will cycle thru all pre programmed brightness levels (3 Ievels I think) so just keep hitting it till it gets bright enough to see.

Bruh, you have to change that $#!T back before it gets light. Our guys do it at work all the time.
