Capt. Troy
I know one thing. I sure will be glad to get back in my boat. The Silver King I have borrowed the last 2 weeks is a wet ride. Got the 21 MA put back together last night.
mulligan
Fatty! You have both sides of the age spectrum covered. If that is the boat I think it is I used to drool over it as it drove by my parents house.
Capt. Troy
That is a 93 SK that used to be owned by Captain Rich Knox who lives in Oakridge. It is currently owned by Captain Mike Manning who was gracious enough to let me use it the last 2 weeks. The boat has had 8 engines hung on it and it is in great shape. FMB MEGALOPS
Wow, Rich Knox. I used to fish around him in Dunedin, Fl back in the 90's when I lived there. That was back in the day when lots of poling platforms had twin trolling motors on them. Always thought that was an amazing boat.
Capt. Troy
Captain Rich and I were partners in the charter business back then. And that boat did have the twin trolling motors on it.
hurricane
Nice fish. Im glad you explained the reason for the SK! What happen to the MA that it was down for 2 weeks?
Capt. Troy
Pick up tube corroded off the fuel tank at the top. Had to pull the console up for access. By shear luck we were able to re tap the fitting and put in a new pick up. It was touch and go as the tank is poly and I was scared to death that the fitting would break loose from the poly when we were tapping it. Close call for cutting the floor out of the boat. I grew up in Oakridge way back when. My parents still live there on the cul-de-sac as you leave his house.

Capt. Troy
He had been trying for a long time to get a big one. This one did something rare for a big snook. She completely cleared the water.
hurricane
Fish said, "WTF, is that Capt. Troy in a Silver King" so he jumped clean outta the water to get a better look, "sure enough, its Capt. Troy"!
whichwaysup
Glad to hear your MA survived the surgery! Nothing makes you appreciate your boat like being on someone elses!

Capt. Troy
After 5 trips in the SK ,of which I had run a bunch back in the day. It was like getting on an aircraft carrier when I got back in my boat. And the dry and smooth ride became very apparent in short order. What a difference.
