JD's HPS
Purchased this 2013 23HPS last year with 68 hrs on the 250 SHO. Boat and engine package have been awesome. Primarily reef and bay fishing in Miami, I've only seen one other 23 HPS in just over a year at the ramps. Definetly an eye catcher at the ramps and when I'm flying by other boats. JD's HPS
Thx. Easy to maintain too. Just did the 1 year service myself, pretty straight forward. Rec fuel is the way to go, not a drop of water in the fuel filter under the cowling nor in the water separator. Had a bad experience with my Hewes Redfisher and ethanol fuel, fuel filters and VST bowl were full of sludge, $750 repair. Not happening with the SHO. SCFD rtrd.
Is the hole-shot still good? Does it hold in turns and while running the beaches?
JD's HPS
Hole shot is ok, really don't need to launch like a rocket for the fishing that I do. Grabs good on turns depending on how high the jack plate is set. Much less torque steering at high speeds than the PT OFX4 that I have. Do half of my fishing on the reef at 70ft and handles 2 to 3 foot seas pretty *** good for a bay boat. Can stay on plane at 2700 rpm at 29 mph. Last week, didn't lay off the throttle coming out of the channel at 50 mph, smooth seas.
Sunstone
I also Have a hps and love the boat. Had mine over 70 today but that was on the trailer. I have a power tech 22 3 blade and only get 61 with just me and the dog.

SCFD rtrd.
JD, what speed did you get with the stock prop (Rev4 23p) before you had it modified? What diameter is the prop?
JD's HPS
63 at 5400 rpm. It's stamped as a 23p, Rich at Leading Edge called me that the prop was at a 24p which is probably why the 5400rpm. Prop is 14 5/8 dia.
