In my repower thread, I had the dealer move the new VF115 SHO from #1 to #2 but have not tried it yet. However, I would have to raise the platform if it stays at this position. mulligan Posted April 16, 2017 Report Share Posted April 16, 2017 I ran an 97 18' Bayfisher for a number of years. I have played with motor height plenty in those years. I will say there is no general right or wrong height. The only way to know what will work best is to run it and see what the boat wants. Some of the props I ran liked it all the way down and others up a hole. Boat balance also comes into play. Sorry I could not give a concrete answer but only the boat knows.
